Concussion Clinic

As a centre for concussion management The Stadium Clinic recognises the importance of prompt diagnosis and correct management of a potential head injury.

Concussion, also known as minor traumatic brain injury is a condition that leads to an altered state of the brain. This usually occurs as a result of a blow or an injury to the head/face. The majority are mild and do not result in long-term damage but can sometimes cause serious problems that require medical attention.

The clinic provides a baseline test to determine the impact the concussion has had on the patient. The results will then be used to develop an individualized management plan in order to return the patient to their normal activity, safely.

Our regular association with professional sporting teams mean that our sport and exercise physicians are up to date with the most recent guidelines and will transfer these same principles to the treatment of our patients.

Along with elite athletes our highly trained staff work closely with many sporting clubs and schools in our local area. In particular Sydney Grammar School, St Joseph’s College and Cranbrook School providing management advice for their students.

Don’t wait. Seek review by one of our sport and exercise physicians today so we can advise on management and return you to school, work or play.
