Athlete Rehabilitation Running Sessions

What are these sessions?

These sessions are designed to allow our patients to get an “eyes on” approach to their eventual return to running and/or sport following injury. This is led by one of our experienced Exercise Physiologists, with the purpose of addressing any deficits you have following your injury and to help provide a smoother transition towards reaching your goals. By taking part in supervised sessions, we can correct any concerns there may be early on, to ensure poor movements are stopped before they become habit.

What is covered in these sessions?

  • Running volume and conditioning
  • Acceleration and deceleration mechanics
  • Jumping and landing skills
  • Change of direction drills
  • Individualised sports specific activities

These sessions are delivered in a group environment; however, individuals will receive a tailored approach with an individualised program to address their specific needs. Whether you are at the very beginning of your rehabilitation journey, starting back running following a muscle tear or surgery, or at the end stage before you return to your chosen sport, these sessions are designed so anybody can attend and get the level of care and attention they require.

For any appointments or enquiries, please contact Stadium Sports Physiotherapy on (02) 8323 7777.
