Dr Jobe Shatrov

Dr Jobe Shatrov is an orthopaedic knee surgeon at the forefront of research, innovation and education in knee surgery. After graduating Dux of Medicine from the University of Notre Dame Australia, he completed specialist orthopaedic training in 2019 before undertaking international fellowships in robotic hip and knee surgery and sports knee surgery.

His fellowship training included time at the FIFA Medical Centre of Excellence and Centre Orthopédique Santy in France - leading institutions for professional footballers - as well as the Fortius Clinic in London, where he worked with Premier League and international athletes.

Dr Shatrov is currently completing a PhD at the University of Sydney, focusing on the patellofemoral joint in total knee arthroplasty.

Dr Shatrov’s practice combines technology with personalised care. He works closely with patients and referrers to optimise recovery, function and outcomes - whether for robotic total knee arthroplasty, partial knee replacement or complex sports knee injuries.

A recognised leader in robotic and sports knee surgery research, Dr Shatrov has published widely and received national and international awards. In 2022, he was awarded Best Presentation at the EFORT Congress in Lisbon, one of Europe’s largest orthopaedic meetings. He continues to collaborate internationally on research into robotic knee arthroplasty, patella instability, partial knee replacements, osteotomy, ACL reconstruction, female ACL injuries and patellofemoral biomechanics.

Dr Shatrov is a teacher and mentor, actively involved in training orthopaedic registrars for the Australian Orthopaedic Association, and lectures medical and postgraduate students at the University of Sydney and the University of Notre Dame Australia.
